A Trial!

Scene 1 - Two law associates are talking at the corridor of a long court room halls. Pranav : Where are you heading Sam? Samantha : Court room 5, of course! Don’t you remember Pranav? Today is the trial day for Vikash. The driver who ruthlessly killed that poor little girl Sabani. Pranav : That was such a tragedy right! We have come across so many cases, but this was brutal. We believe these drivers, employ them and send kids. But, see what has come upon. It really troubles me. Sam : Oh man! That’s true. I heard, he kept denying about committing the murder even after the Assistant Commissioner literally caved into him. Pranav : Oh! You do have your sources ( smirked Pranav ). Since this is a pro-bono case, who has volunteered to represent Vikash? Sam : Mr. Jaswesh Saini. Can you believe that? Pranav : Wow! Really? Summer Holidays

Saranya was pacing up and down at the Central Railway Station. She was very restless. Glancing a look at her elder sister Priyanka, who seemed visibly lost in a book. Saranya wondered how her sister could be so calm. Their train was late. Saran, why don’t you sit! That board showed; our train is late by an hour. What’s the purpose of you pacing? Amma! Why don’t you tell her? exasperated Priyanka. ‘Ha-ha!’ smiled Kamala. ‘She is too excited to see Paati (Grandma). Well, your Paati has promised her too many things this summer. Let her be.’ A cart with books piled on it passed by them and both the girls longingly chanced a look at their mother. “Amma, please! Just one more book.” With visible excitement, Priyanka rose up from the suitcase she was sitting on, to see the neatly lined comics of Tinkle, Chacha and Gokulams. Three books of Tinkle, 2 Gokulams and one colouring book was brought to entertain themselves all the way till they reached Madurai, Kamala’s home town. Kamal...

Every travelers sight to behold

This story is dedicated to the part of us which is a child forever. The story features in an era, millions of years ago. A date, that ages back even before the first human ‘Lord Manu’ was born.  The world was filled with trees, animals, rivers and everything that the nature could offer about. The ecology was evolving. The lions ate the goats, the goats ate the grass, the crows ate the lions. Creatures of beasts and beauties lived along.  ‘Kashi’, the Mountain was the King of the creatures. Yes. You read it right. This was the time when, the Mountains were the Royals. The mighty mountain was the main destination where all creatures gathered around. It was the place where the meetings of the beasts and beauties were held. It was full of life. A perfect sync of the flora and fauna.  With its unique power to fly, the enormous winged ‘Kashi’ ensured that it sustained the lives of the creatures living on it. The mountain knew the requirements of its subjects and it...

Tree Tales!

"As the Wind whistled past, The Sun, continued his scorching stare, I am, but left deep rooted; Scavenging for my need. A tiny dot, amongst the immeasurable. Engulfed by the five elements; Yet, standing all alone. Man! I gave you my everything. I cry for thy support, Please don't cut me anymore!" "Food to eat, Air to breathe. Shade to rest, Wood to nest. Man! I gave you my everything. I cry for thy support, Please don't cut me anymore!" "For you, I absorb the CO2 toxic, All you return, is plastic. Act now with logic, Before the world turns catastrophic. Man! I gave you my everything. I cry for thy support, Please don't cut me anymore!" - Divya Venkatesan
